Update-it took a long time to get a response and hear back from them, but I did get everything resolved in a fair and professional manner.
I had read such great reviews for this place, but I am not experiencing this. My daughter's jaw was popping a lot, so we paid the consult fee of $255, got an MRI, which determined that she has some TMJ, then scheduled the next appointment, which was $836. During this appointment, the doctor determined that she needed to get her teeth straightened before getting her TMJ treatment. Great-I'm glad that he was honest with us before charging us even more, but I don't know why this wasn't determined during her $255 consultation. I tried to contact them through email and voicemail to discuss a full or partial refund of the $836 since he decided that she should get braces first, but I have not received a return call or email. We're now out over $1,000 for TMJ stuff that was not treated AND we have to pay for braces.

For the last 15 years, I was dealing with chronic ear infections or so I thought. I went to an ENT and he said do you clench your teeth? He told me to find a dentist that deals with TMJ issues. I did a quick Google search and found Dr.Jelinek. I explained my ear pain, a constant popping sound when I ate anything. He ordered an MRI and did additional scans to find my TMJ was in bad shape. He custom fitted me with an appliance and after a year, I can say the popping sounds are gone, my "ear pain is gone" and my teeth so much better! Dr.Jelinek is a fantastic physician who has mastered his craft! He takes his work seriously, listens intently, and has great bed side manner. I will forever be grateful for Dr.Jelinek saving my gums and teeth! I would recommend anyone suffering from TMJ or sleep apnea to go to him so that he too can save your smile!

I’m so thankful I found Dr. Jelinek. I went to him for a second opinion on my TMJ symptoms that included ear pain and ringing in my ears. He listened so well as I explained my concerns. I ended up getting a mandibular device which has helped tremendously combined with simple realignment stretches for my jaw in the morning. I also sleep better. I was worried there was no solution and felt overwhelmed with orthodontic options from the first place I visited. Dr Jelinek has wonderful bedside manner and truly cares for his patients.
